Originally by: CCP Explorer These two metrics don't always match because one focuses on technical aspects and the other has both technical and design aspects. In some cases there are no technical aspects to specific issues brought up by players and the CSM.
0.0 players do not care about Module lag. We've lived with it for years. Fix one bug, just one, and the majority of complaints go away.
Fix the grid loading (blackscreen) issue when attempting to enter system or warp to another grid.
1 bug fix. This one bug, above all others, prevents anyone from even going on a small gang roam without worrying about blackscreening and dying.
Second bug to fix would be the stability of the nodes..we had 2000 man battles pre dominion..the servers took it and smiled at us. We had module lag (manually cycling guns, guns getting stuck, etc) but you could play it. Now the node dies if you have a couple hundred in system..sitting in pos's. Fix this second and the 0.0 players will feel like you actually care about this game and not The Bottom Line and Vampires with Sparklies.

Originally by: CCP Explorer Because 5 days after CCP Atlas wrote this then we deployed a massive fix to post-Dominion lag in "TRANQUILITY HOTFIX v.6.21.127381_4" during DT on 9 Feb 2010. It was not the silver bullet to end all lag but it was a big fix for a regression we could trace back to Dominion and this hotfix had a clearly measurable positive impact on fleet fight lag. (This hotfix fixed DB session starvation.) Before this hotfix we had fixed a number of memory leaks and after this hotfix we started investigating the "blackscreening client" issue, a potential fix for which is now being tested in the on-going SiSi mass-tests along with other fleet fight lag fixes. (The potential fix revolves around changing locks in server services.)
Thank you for this info. WHY couldn't it have been posted long, long ago? Simple, concise communication like this quiets the nerd rage. A vast percentage of your players are software engineers...we can see through the PR BS, but info like this is golden.
Any update on the status of Walkin In Stations or Dust? Feel free to be nerdy in your response, we're SW and SE engineers..we can take jargon :-)

Your wasting breath guys. CCP won't respond to this thread anymore. Look to previous devblogs for examples of CCP saying they'll monitor and respond to a thread in progress, and if more than 4 pages go by without a post, they've forgotten about it.
